The unique, tightly coiled spiral shape—resembling tiny golden snails—is the hallmark of traditional Dian Hong Jin Luo. Our tea is meticulously hand-rolled during processing. Because it is harvested exclusively during the early spring and consists entirely of tender, downy tea buds (rather than larger open leaves), the finished tea glitters with a brilliant amber-gold hue. When steeped, these delicate coils beautifully unfurl, releasing their locked-in aromas and transitioning into plump, whole leaves.
Unlike mass-market black teas that carry a sharp, astringent bite, our Premium Golden Snail is incredibly smooth, sweet, and comforting. The exclusive large-leaf (Yunnan Da Ye) cultivar yields a rich, full-bodied amber liquor. From the very first sip, you will be greeted by a comforting, malty aroma reminiscent of freshly roasted sweet potatoes, followed by sophisticated undertones of dark cacao and a long, clean finish of wild honey. It is naturally sweet enough to be enjoyed completely plain.
Western Style: Use 3 grams (about 1.5 to 2 teaspoons) of tea for every 8 oz (240ml) of water. Filtered water heated to 195°F–205°F (90°C–96°C) is ideal. Steep for 3 to 4 minutes.
Gongfu Style (Recommended): Use a higher leaf-to-water ratio (around 5 grams in a 120ml Gaiwan). Use boiling water and start with quick 15-second steepings, gradually increasing the time for subsequent infusions. This high-grade tea can easily reward you with 5 to 6 distinct, evolving steepings.
Our Dian Hong Jin Luo is single-origin, sustainably sourced directly from the high-altitude misty mountains of Menghai, Yunnan Province—the legendary birthplace of tea. It is processed in partnership with a certified, export-grade “Super Factory” that strictly adheres to international food safety regulations. Every batch undergoes precise solar-withering, rolling, full oxidation, and traditional baking to ensure that the authentic terroir and clean, premium quality of Yunnan black tea are preserved from the garden to your teacup.
